Accompanied by naturalists, a group of volunteers sets out to observe butterflies, moving along the fine line between collecting vital data about another living being and reducing that life to neatly ordered datasets. In this process, they traverse a symbolic route that opens onto the fragile conditions within which they themselves survive.
